Moving Mountains for Children

We are a local group of parents, childcare workers and community members  committed to enhancing the well being of children 0-6yrs and families in Whistler. Meeting once a month we will look at early childhood development opportunities for children and families and create new opportunities based upon community need or parent needs. We are an extension of the "Putting Children First" Initiative that is part of Sea to Sky Community Services. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 17th from 6-8pm at Myrtle Philip Community. Free babysitting is provided. We welcome new members.

Moving Mountains is pleased to offer the following programs to families in Whistler:

Music Together classes - Please register at  Music together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for mixed ages of children Birth to four years of age. Children over 7 months of age are required to be registered participants in order to attend. It is based on the recognition that all children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat and participate with confidence. Music is learned through developmentally appropriate activities that support and respect the unique style of very young children. Parents participate with the children and may bring more than one sibling to the classes.

Moving Mountains is pleased to continue their Partnership with Whistler Oros Gymnastics Club. Parent and Tot Exploration Gym Passtime is running Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday at 10:00 am. Ages 18 months to 5 years one parent/caregiver per child .Supervised non-instructional time to explore gym stations. Passes (1 time, 5 time or 10 time) sold Front Desk of Oros. Moving Mountains 30% limited subsidy is available for the fall session. Located  in the Whistler Sports Legacy High Performance Athlete Centre, Cheakamus Way.
