Mini Ballet for 3 - 4 year olds
Explore the world of Ballet through music, story telling and magic. Simple positions and structure will be taught in an encouraging and nurturing environment with lots of room for self-expression and dance. Mini ballerinas will put on a small performance for parents on the last day.
Saturday 11:45-12:30. 3-4 yrs

Intro to Ballet 5 - 7 year olds
This class will introduce your young dancer to proper Ballet technique following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. Each class will take your aspiring dancer through a floor warm up, strength and stretch exercises as well as across the floor combinations that will build confidence and dance skills. Parents are invited to observe the last class.
Saturday 12:45-1:30. 5-7 yrs

Kids Multi-sport Tennis
Explore Sports - Active Start (Parent-child) Parent-Child drop-in with stations designed to explore fundamental sports and athletic skills. Jump, Throw, Kick, Catch, Ride, Hit, Balance + Run = Fun!
Tuesdays, Saturdays 2-6yrs.

Explore Sports After School Program through Tennis
Game-based after school program that allows kids to try a variety of different sports and develop a variety of athletic skills. Taught by NCCP certified coaches with guest coaches from some of the local sports clubs. Snack provided each session. Coaches will pick up from the Maury Young Arts Centre bus stop or Myrtle Philip and walk the kids to the tennis club.
5-12 years

Kids Tennis - Recreational Program
Geared towards developing basic rally skills, athletic skills and learning how to play a real game! Taught by Coaches from the Whistler Tennis Academy.
4-6yrs and 7-12yrs

Yoga for Kids
Discover the hidden magic of Yoga! Through playful movement students will explore a
series of basic asanas (postures). Enjoy the benefits that yoga brings to the mind, body, and heart while developing body awareness and improved motor control. Students will practice both focusing skills and creative exploration, nourishing balance and a sense of empowerment.
Saturday 1:45-2:30pm. 5-8yrs

CanSkate - Learn to Skate
Whistler Skating Club

CanSkate is Skate Canada's flagship 'Learn-to- Skate' program. In a fun, interactive environment with Skate Canada professionally trained and certified coaches, CanSkate teaches the fundamentals of skating to help build a foundation for all skating and is necessary for skaters hoping to advance to the Whistler Skating Club Star Academy Program or the Hockey Skating Development program. Skaters are grouped by age and skill, beginning in Stage 1 progressing to Stage 6. Awards and incentives are earned as skaters progress.
Thursday 5-5:45pm. 4-12yrs

Hockey Skating Development
Whistler Skating Club

Hockey Skating Development is geared to young hockey players who want to improve their skating technique for increased power, strength, and coordination. This program will focus on, and significantly improve, skating skills such as crosscuts, forwards and backwards, and stop and starts. Skaters will have passed CanSkate Level 3 or higher, be 5 to 9 yrs old, and have the ability to perform forward crosscuts and stopping skills to enter program.
Thursday 5:45-6:45pm. 5-9 yrs

Grrrls' Boot Camp
Girl's Boot Camp is a fun workout for everyone looking to kick start their fitness goals. The 45 min classes are a mix of cardio, flexibility, plus strength training designed for any fitness level. If your new to fitness or have tried working out before, Bootcamp will constantly challenge you with its variety and by offering you positive motivational support every class. A great way to stay fit and learn new stuff with friends in a noncompetitive program!
Monday 4:15-5pm. 11-15yrs

Teens' Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals
This class will help teenagers like you, build movement and self defense skills with Jiu Jitsu. Learn effective skills and get fit, whilst having lots of fun, making friends, and staying safe.
Wed & Sat. 4-5pm. 12-18yrs

Whistler SeaWolves Swim Club Regular
The Resort Municipality of Whistler has teamed up with our local Swim Club to offer registration services at any of our locations or through our web site. Qualified coaches will take this group of enthusiastic racers through proven drills to enhance stroke efficiency and speed. This competitive swim club restricts its members to those children who are a minimum of 6 years of age and can swim at least two lengths of the pool. 

Junior Lifeguard Club
The JLC focuses on fun and developing skills using personal-bests to determine achievement - you don't compete against anyone else but yourself. You can get better at your swimming skills, lifesaving skills, fitness, leadership, and teamwork skills. Participants are required to swim at a SwimKids 6 level and be 10 years old prior to the start of the course.

Private Swimming Lessons
Private swim lessons are 10 half-hour lessons on the same day for 10 weeks. The instructor provides focused, individualized instruction that helps to increase the student's skill progression. Only one child is allowed to register, however they may bring an additional swimming buddy

 

SKATING

CanSkate - Learn to Skate

Synchronized SkatingTeam - Adult/Teen
Whistler Skating Club

Fitness, fun, and friendships while building your skating and synchro skills within a recreational environment. Learn, practice and build-on the fundamental skills, basic manoeuvres, formations and transitions of synchronized skating; the fastest growing discipline in figure skating today. Skaters are required to have some previous skating background.
