All children's programs are offered free of charge. Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Drop in Toddler Story Time
Books, Songs, Rhymes and Fun! 
For ages 18 months to 3 years
Fridays, 11:00 - 11:30 am.

Singing With The Babies
Learn songs and rhymes to soothe and entertain baby while encouraging early language development. For babies 0 - walking age.
Saturdays, 11:00 - 11:30 am.
In The Burrow

Drop-In Toddler Rhyme & Song
Songs, Rhymes and Finger Plays for toddlers. Fun while encouraging language development. Walking age to 4 years.
Thursdays, 4:00

Drop-In Family Story Time
Books, Songs, Rhymes and Fun!
For Ages 3-5 years
Tuesdays, 3:30

Parent-Infant Drop-In
Tuesdays, 11:00am to 12:00 pm in The Burrow.
This program provides an opportunity to develop a supportive social network with other parents of young babies. Public health nurses and speakers attend often. Bring your baby and drop in!

Intermediate Book Club
This book club is open to students from Grade 4 - 7 and will run from October until June. We will meet on the first Friday of each month during the school year from 3:30 - 4:30. 
Children will be able to choose books from our book club selection (coming soon) or read one of their own choices. Join us for a fun discussion, word and creative writing games as well as help on writing short reviews of your books. These reviews will then be published on our library's webpage. 
A small fruit or veggie snack will be provided with pizza for our December and June book clubs!

High School Book Club 2010
This book club is open to students from Grade 8 - 12 and will run from October until June. We will meet on the first Friday of each month during the school year from 5:00 - 6:00. 

Young Adult Board - YAB
This group influences decisions regarding the library collection, furnishings, and programs. YAB meets with the Youth Services Coordinator on a regular basis, for discussion of various library matters over snacks. YAB also works towards publishing the YAB Blab, a scintillating combination of articles, reviews, musings and writing from Whistler youth.

This is a drop-in group, but if you RSVP, we'll be sure to have enough snacks on hand! Email Libby at lmckeever@whistlerlibrary.ca for the next meeting date.

Youth Cafe
Come and drop-in to the Youth Cafe, a partnership program with Whisterl Community Srvices for Whistler Community Services for teens. This is a place to for youth where you can explore all things creative...whether it be writing, art, photography, Improv or..... as well as making a difference in our community. Drop by to find out more.

We meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Summer Reading Club - July & August

Join us this summer for a variety of programs for children ages 3 years and up to those going into grade 7.  There will be three groups; one for children aged 3 year to kindergarten and one for grades 1 to 3. For these groups we will meet for an hour of fun stories, games and crafts concerntrating on this year's theme of Savor Each Word (available in June).
For children going into Grades 4 - 7 we will once again hold our summer intermediate book club. We will meet in Marmot Meadows for book discussion, fun literacy games and practice our review writing. Click on the link above for more details.
