RIGHT TO PLAY

RIGHT TO PLAY NEEDS YOU!

PARALYMPIC PROMOTIONS TEAM MARCH 13-20

This sounds like a gas!
Why not get family and friends out to promote fun for a good cause?

Right To Play is an international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play to develop life skills for children in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world. Right To Play will have a presence at the 2010 Paralympics in Whistler and is looking for local volunteers.

When: March 13 – 20, 2010 from 11:00am – 4:00pm, Whistler Village

What to expect:
As a member of Right To Play’s Promotions Team your mission is to encourage as many people as possible to participate in Random Acts Of Play on the streets of Whistler. Each Promotional Team will be given a map, a list of destinations in Whistler and a card with a list of about 20 Random Acts Of Play on it (click to view some of the fun acts to perform). Your challenge is to choose any of the destinations on the list, go there and choose a Random Act Of Play to do. The objective is to get as many people playing as possible. Once you’ve got random people engaged in the games and you see them smiling and laughing, it’s a perfect opportunity to ask them if they’ve heard of Right To Play before.

Your team members: There will be approximately 6 volunteers per shift taking to the streets of Whistler to spread awareness about Right To Play. The team of 6 will either be broken into teams of 2 or 3.

Contact: Tania Wybenga, Development Manager Community Partnerships, Right To Play – twybenga@righttoplay.com if you are interested in volunteering.
